Yes, Mr. John Hosty, some groups deserve to be on that list. But this group appears to be untrustworthy and biased - I mean, the SPLC, that is. Besides, what is my connection to MassResistance, anyway? Just curious...
Look on your profile, you're connected by your own admission. It's Mr. Hosty-Grinnell if you wish to be polite.
Tyler, sometimes people make mistakes. It's OK to admit them and move on. Massresistance deliberately lies to the public on several issues. To be tied to this group in any way makes it seem like you approve of those actions.
I know you to be a devout Christian, I'd like you to think about what Christ says about lying and re-think your position with them.

My connection is that I took some pictures, at a few events, to help expose what is going on in Massachusetts.
I was never paid by them, or a volunteer beyond taking pictures.
Besides, John, the fact that the SPLC lists them as a hate group doesn't mean anything. They have listed other Christian ministries that stand up to the advance of homosexual activism in America.
I'm not going down this road again with you, John. I'm already kinda sorry that I got this far, but alas, I published your comments when I really should have just deleted them because the premise of your argument is baseless.

I am in no way a supporter of Massresistance and have no opinion on the matter of their hate group status because I haven’t done any investigation to back up the SPLC’s claims. However the SPLC could easily call me part of a hate group because of my stance on illegal immigration. I think that disqualifies them as a good judge of character.

Ellen Wironken, I have known John Hosty-Grinnel for about two years now. I’ve never met him but we’ve had numerous discussions electronically. I’ve found him in no way “disturbed.” We don’t always agree, but he is a decent human being. There are many for marriage equality that are disturbed and many against that are equally disturbed.
On the other hand I might be disturbed; I think religion is nearly a mental illness if not a monetary racket. But that’s just me.
