UNBORN Children Save Mom's Life

Twins Save Mom's Life, Kick Loose Deadly Tumor From Mom's Cervix While Still in Womb

That's the headline (and linked article) over at Fox News. That's right - while the mother was pregnant, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer and told she may die, and apparently the solution was to abort the children and get treatment. She chose not to abort her children - and their kicking in her womb knocked the tumor off and saved her life!

Yes, it is an unbelievable story - but I view this as a word of hope from an unbelievable God that I believe in wholeheartedly.

Never count Him out of the game, He's the one that laid out the board and set the pieces in place.

Cool story, but I wonder, would you still have said praise god if she had died? Would you have even cared? If that tumor had expanded in size and killed the twins and the mother would it still be something to thank god for?

Ken, I'm praising God for what happened, not for what didn't happen - and in all cases, Ken, God is worthy of our praise.

Who are we to question Him, the one that set the whole world in motion and loves us unconditionally?

Just now on the news, a student at a university that got destroyed by a tornado is thanking God that out of the 1800 affected by the tornado, there are no life-threatening injuries.

Praise God!

A few weeks ago I was watching one of the Christian channels on TV and there was a military preacher telling a story about how a soldier had come to him and thanked him so much for praying with him the day before. Right after this soldier had prayed with the preacher his unit got held up and another unit had to go in for them until his unit was able to catch up. That replacement unit got taken out by a roadside bomb.

My question is this; did the prayer actually do anything? Did god change his master plan because of the prayer? Was the second unit killed because either they didn’t pray or their prayer wasn’t as good as the original unit’s prayer? Did god love the original unit more than the replacement unit? What’s the deal?

We’re human beings that have a natural curiosity. That curiosity has brought us the advances in science and medicine we enjoy. We question god because we can. God can’t “create” us with that curiosity and then expect us to not question him. If we don’t question god we become automatic believers. We would just expect what god “gives” us and thank him for everything. Maybe that’s what he wants if he exists, but I can’t just not think about things because I’m not god and I’m in no position to question him. That’s not who I am. I consider it my responsibility to question god because it seems there are so many people who won’t. I’ll question god for them; even if they wish I wouldn’t.

Good questions, Ken. I don't have answers to some of these questions. I suggest to you to try to find some answers yourself. John is a good place to start (the book of John), or Proverbs. That is, if you're interested.

I think you'll enjoy the book of Proverbs, if you haven't read it yet. And the book of John is probably the best book to read to understand just how much love Jesus has for you.

Talk to you soon...
